What’s going on everybody, Jonny here with Six Pack Shortcuts and Today I’m with special guests and good friends Genevieve and Mike to go over these 2 ancient Chinese methods of healing that I love to do to not only treat but prevent injuries and soreness when it comes to training: cupping and gua sha.

Most of the time people come in to remedy an injury with these methods. It’s important to be preventative and not wait until something is wrong to get treatment and to alleviate pain when training hard to lose the belly fat and to build the muscle. I see and hear from so many guys saying that something is wrong with their shoulder, they think they tore something, or they are too sore to train when really it is something that is very manageable and easy to correct.

The last thing you want when you’re on track to losing the belly fat during your training and exercise is to stop and be unable to continue due to muscle soreness or injury, so let’s get going and show you these 2 amazing ways to keep everything working right.

Structural integration is the process of resetting the muscle to properly to hold your structure, helping to have your muscular system work properly along with your skeletal system. One key thing that this form of therapy and healing does is help to increase blood flow. When you reset the muscles to have better blood flow, good nutrients you’re putting into your body with your healthy macronutrients and micronutrients will be better absorbed, recovery times can decrease and your results, especially with losing the belly fat, will come a lot more efficiently and effectively.

11:18 – cupping: Mike suctions the cups to my body to get some blood flow and release the fascia in the muscle. Going to some who knows what they are doing and trained in this form of healing is a huge benefit since it helps to get stagnant blood from older and deeper injuries to come the surface to release pressure and alleviate pain.

14:36 – gua sha: Genevieve goes in and, instead of releasing pressure, uses a hard tool to apply pressure to break down the adherence of the muscle fibers together to not only look better but feel better. Scrapping apart adhesions and knots in the muscles this way really gets the blood flowing a lot better.

Now, guys, you not only want to train hard and have a healthy diet and nutrition plan, but you need to make sure you take care of your body when it comes to aches, pains, and injuries. Preventative care and measures make a world of difference when it comes to you staying consistent with your training to lose the body fat, build lean muscle, or just live a happier and healthier lifestyle. At the end of the day. your body is your own temple and you need to prioritize making sure it’s as healthy as it can be.

Thanks for watching everyone. What else do you do to take care of your aches and pains? What injuries or areas are you experiencing pain a lot in? Make sure to leave your questions and comments below and let us know here at Six Pack Shortcuts.
