How You Know When The Weights Are Too HEAVY

Video

Description

1 weird “trick” build muscle FAST.

So today we are going to talk about when it is appropriate not to use heavy weights. I always talk about the benefits of using heavy weights, but today I want to share the opposite side of the story. I want to make sure you know everything that could help you get closer to the body you always wanted.

Video Breakdown:

0:28 When is it appropriate to not use heavy weights? Well I was at the gym the other day and there was a spotter with him, which is awesome but the spotter was actually stabilizing the weight for this guy.

1:08 I was worried about this guy being injured. The truth is that the guys stabilizing muscles weren’t strong enough to lift the weights, even though his main muscles were strong.

1:58 That is dangerous when it comes to lifting weights. Anytime you need a spotter to stabilize your weight, that is when you need to go lighter.

3:04 When your core isn’t strong enough to keep the weights steady, you are very prone to injury.

4:15 You never want muscles that help your lifts to burn hurting or really strained when you are not directly working them out. So you might be doing squats but a lot of back is involved in moving the weight involved in a squat.

4:30 The truth is, a spotter is not the way to make your stabilizing muscles stronger. It is better to lower the weight and gain overall strength than move a ton of weight with your targeted muscle.

6:14 So finally you just need to lighten the weights enough to maintain your form and move the weight by yourself for at least a few reps. You don’t want to be injured so you can can consistent.

Hope this video serves you well.
