Jackfruit (Kathal as known in hindi) smoothie is an easy healthy recipe and is ideal for kids and weight loss. A health drink that contains jackfruit and other raw fruits. Smoothies are highly nutritious and delicious, and hence suitable for both adults on weight loss program and growing children.
Jackfruit smoothies are a great tool for weight loss because you control the ingredients. They make perfect vehicles for relatively low-calorie, yet nutrient-laden ingredients that are capable of keeping you full for a long time. By combining the right ingredients, you can create smoothies that taste great and help you drop pounds. It doesn’t take long to learn what to use and how to make the right combinations.
In this video, Chef Vicky Ratnani makes a “Jackfruit and Jambul Smoothie”. This healthy recipe is easy to make, and is an ideal food / drink for kids as well. Also good for people who are on diet and want to reduce weight.
The ingredients have been picked from the Borivali Market, Mumbai. They are:
• 3-4 jackfruit
• 4-5 kiwi
• 6-7 jambul
• ½ bowl coconut milk
• 4 tablespoon chia seeds soaked in water
• 1 cup water
• Honey/Sugar
Method:
1. Take a blender. Put jackfruits, kiwi and jambul without seeds.
2. Add coconut milk, chia seeds and 1 cup of water in the
blender.
3. Now blend the mixture properly for few minutes.
4. The smoothie is ready. Pour it into a glass and serve.
