Rheumatoid Arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis is an auto-immune disease which attacks the joint membranes, leading to inflammation & pain in the joints & the surrounding tissues. This condition is chronic and progressive in nature, & can lead to immobility and pain.

Symptoms:

• Inflammation
• Pain
• Immobility

Recipes based on the above food groups:

Recipe 1: Fish

1. We have here 100 g of salmon slices
2. First apply some salt on the fish
3. Then add some lemon juice
4. Now, let the fish rest for 5-10 minutes
5. While the fish rest, we are going to mix together the spices
which we are going to use
6. Take 2 tsp of red chilli powder
7. Add ½ tsp black pepper powder
8. ½ tsp cumin seeds
9. ½ tsp coriander seeds
10. Pinch of turmeric powder
11. Now add to this mixture ½ a ground onion
12. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
13. Add 2 curry leaves
14. Finally add some salt to taste & some water to make a thick
paste
15. Now apply this paste gently on the fish slices
16. Allow the fish to rest for 1 hr in the fridge
17. After 1 hour, take out the fish
18. Take a non-stick pan
19. Add 1 tsp oil
20. Add the fish & let it cook till it turns brown & crisp
21. Turn it over and cook on both sides
22. This dish tastes best when served hot

Not only is this dish healthy, but it makes for a great dinner option.

Recipe 2: Mango yogurt drink

1. Put 150 gm curd yogurt in a blender
2. Add cubes of 1 mango to it
3. Blend them together
4. Pour this in a glass
5. Chill this drink before serving

This drink can be had to satisfy your the mid-meal hunger pangs

• Vitamin D helps in calcium absorption and bone formation
• Avoid foods that cause loss of calcium and bone mass
