Thinking what to do with the leftover dal? Use it into soft parathas for your breakfast. We tell you how!

Ingredients:
– 1 Cup whole wheat flour
– 1/2 Cup leftover dal
– 1 Tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
– 1 Medium onion finely chopped
– 2 Tsp red chilli powder
– 4 Green chillies
– Coriander leaves
– Salt to taste
– Water
– Oil
– Ghee/butter

Method:
To make the dough –
1) To make this recipe, you need leftover dal that is thick in consistency.(Any variety of dal)
2) Take a bowl & add the whole wheat flour, leftover dal, carom seeds(Ajwain), chopped onions, red chilli powder, green chillies, coriander leaves, salt & mix well.
3) Once the ingredients are mixed well, add water, & knead into a smooth dough.
4) Add some oil in the end & knead again.

To make the paratha –
1) Pinch out small balls from the dough.
2) Press them with your palms to make semi-flat roundels.
3) Dust the work surface with some flour & start rolling out the parathas.
3) Once the parathas are rolled, put onto a hot tawa.
4) Apply ghee on the paratha & flip over.
5) Let the other side cook & then give a final flip
6) Repeat this process for all the parathas.

Serve the dal parathas hot with some pickle & sliced onion on the sides.
