Paleo Diet Recipes – Steak with Romesco Sauce Recipe
INGREDIENTS
1 Ib – flank steak
¼ cup – almonds
2 – garlic cloves
7 oz – bottled roasted red peppers, drained
2 tbsp – olive oil
½ tsp – chili flakes
salt, black pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 500 degrees F.
2. Season steak with salt and black pepper.
3. In a small cast iron skillet, add almonds and dry-roast over medium heat, stirring for about 5 minutes.
4. Transfer almonds to a food processor.
5. In the same skillet, heat up1 tbsp of olive oil over medium heat.
6. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
7. Transfer garlic, roasted red peppers and chili flakes to food processor and blend well.
8. Season to taste with salt and set aside.
9. In a large cast iron skillet heat the remaining olive oil over high heat.
10. Cook steak for 30 seconds then use tongs to flip the steak.
11. Cook for another 30 seconds then put the pan into the oven.
12. Cook steak for 2 minutes, flip and cook for another 2 minutes for a medium-rare.
13. Remove steak from the skillet, cover with a foil and rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
14. Serve with Romesco sauce.
